Patient Labels

Patient Label; QL - Patient

Run a Patient mailing label or Patient quick label to generate a label for one or more patients. Originally, your Edge Cloud mailing labels and quick labels are formatted to print the recipient's name and address. However, you can use the Quick Label editor to change the label contents. The mailing labels are formatted to print on standard 8.5" x 11" mailing label paper, 3 labels across and 10 labels down, and the quick labels are formatted to print on single-column label paper with an approved printer.

note

Patient Referrers

If the patient is also a referral source for another patient, you can print a referrer quick label for them from the referred patient's ribbon bar. See "Referrer Labels" for details.

note

Change Label Contents

Originally, your Edge Cloud mailing labels and quick labels are formatted to print the recipient's name and address. However, you can use the Quick Label editor to change the label contents.

note

Do Not Use Partial Label Sheets

If you do not print an entire sheet of 3-column labels in one print job, do not re-feed the unused portion of the label sheet through your printer! You could seriously damage your printer!

Select Reporting from the Reporting section of the Home ribbon bar. Then from the Label section, open the Patient Labels label to print mailing labels, or QL-Patient label to print quick labels. (You can also use the Search field to find the label you want to work with.) You might also be able to run this label from your Recent Reports or Quick Reports list. See "Run Edge Cloud Reports" for details.

Patient Labels - When you print Patient Labels mailing labels from the Reporting window, you may choose a subgroup to print for. If you do not choose a subgroup, a label will print for all patients. These labels print 3-across on full-size label sheets.

QL Patient Labels - When you print QL- Patient labels from the Reporting window, you may choose a specific patient to print for, or select a subgroup. If you do not select either a patient or a subgroup, no labels will be printed. These labels print on single-column label paper.

View Results - If needed, click View at the top of the report settings panel to view the results on your screen. When you run a report or form from your Recent Report list, or when you run a Quick Report, the initial results are sent to your screen immediately, with one exception: A Quick Report that has the Print Only option enabled will not show your results on the screen at all, but continue with the printing options.

Manage Options and Output - With the results on your screen, you can choose the output with the toolbar at the top of the report window. See "Report Output Options" for details.

Open the patient folder, then click the Quick Label icon that appears beside the name in the Patient Information Panel or on the Patient ribbon bar to print a label for that person. The contents of this label is the same as the "QL" label available from the Reporting window. These labels print on single-column label paper.
