Tray Covers

Run a Tray Cover report to print a patient appointment tray cover. The left side of the report includes patient biographical information; time, date and type of current appointment; critical treatment dates; dentist, referrer, and medical alerts (if any); as well as the current amount due (optional), recent appointment history, and Findings notes. Treatment chart and treatment plan information are included as space allows. The Tray Covers - Tooth Chart report also includes a picture of the patient's most recent tooth chart.

Run a Tray Cover Report

  1. Open the Report

    • Select Reporting from the Reporting section of the Home ribbon bar. Then from the Appointment section, open the Tray Covers report (prints for all appointments on a specific date) or Tray Covers - Tooth Chart report (prints for all appointments on a specific date, includes the patients' tooth charts) or Tray Covers - Single Patient report (prints for a specific patient, regardless of appointment date). You can double-click the report name, or click Run at the top of the window to continue. (You can also use the Search field to find the report you want to work with.) You might also be able to run this report from your Recent Reports or Quick Reports list. See "Run Edge Cloud Reports" for details.

  2. Report Settings

    • Select the options to use for choosing records and generating this report. Choose carefully, as your selections will affect which patients are included in the report. (If the settings panel is not visible, click the Show/Hide icon in the upper left corner of the Reporting window.)

(Does not apply to Tray Cover - Single Patient report.)  Date - Choose the date to use. You can type a date in the Date field, or click the v button to select a date from a calendar. You can also enable the Today option to use today's date. If Today is enabled, you cannot type a date or open the calendar: Disable the Today option first if you want to choose a specific date. The date or you select will appear just under the report title; if you select a date that is not "today", this date will be different from the run date that appears in the report header. Tray covers that print for patients with recall appointments print for the appointment time of 12:00am.

*(Applies only to the Tray Cover - Single Patient report.)*Appointment - Choose the patient you want to print a tray cover for. You cannot print a tray cover for a patient that does not have a scheduled or recall appointment.

Only records that fit your selected subgroup as well as all other report settings will be included. See "Subgroup Editor" for details.about creating subgroups.

  4. View Results - If needed, click View at the top of the report settings panel to view the results on your screen. When you run a report or form from your Recent Report list, or when you run a Quick Report, the initial results are sent to your screen immediately, with one exception: A Quick Report that has the Print Only option enabled will not show your results on the screen at all, but continue with the printing options.

  5. Manage Options and Output - With the results on your screen, you can choose the output with the toolbar at the top of the report window. See "Report Output Options" for details.
